National Premier Leagues Gets Updated Exclusive LIGR Broadcast Theme
SYDNEY April, 2022 – The National Premier Leagues (NPL) is Australia’s national second-tier soccer competition and includes men’s and women’s semi-professional and development-level competitions across the country, including the NPL Men’s, NPL Women’s, and NPL Youth. Eight of the nine Football Australia NPL member federations use LIGR Live’s broadcast platform to display graphics and advertising across thousands of live games each season. As part of the NPL’s implementation of new branding, LIGR worked with the various member federations to update their exclusive LIGR custom graphics theme.
“LIGR is perfect for national aggregated competitions like the NPL that have thousands of live games across the country,” said LIGR CEO Luke McCoy. “Our platform makes it simple to achieve consistent branding and quality control from single-camera broadcasts right up to high-profile broadcasts that get deployed across the NPL Final series.”
The NPL’s OTT platform NPL.TV is powered by Cluch TV and LIGR Live. Following a rebrand and relaunch of NPL.TV in 2022, the football member federations wanted to update branding and graphics across all their live broadcasts. All games under the LIGR NPL umbrella now feature consistent broadcast graphics, animations, and in-game advertising. Each member federation currently deploying LIGR Live – Football NSW, Football Victoria, Football West, Football Tasmania, Football Northern NSW, Football South Australia, Football Northern Territory, and Capital Football – has its own LIGR Live account configured with the NPL exclusive graphics theme.
Member federations and the clubs playing in each competition now have access to a range of exciting LIGR Live features that were launched into beta in recent weeks – of which announcements will shortly follow.
Mandy McCarter, Head of Marketing and Communications at Football Victoria, said, “The new LIGR theme further enhances the professionalism of the broadcast we provide for these competitions. Interest and engagement in our Victorian live streams grow each season and we’re pleased to work alongside LIGR to evolve the experience for our audience.”
“The new NPL theme is a fantastic addition to the LIGR platform, which has been well received from our clubs,” said Football SA Media & Digital Manager Matt Mays. “To have the ability to have our clubs’ home and away colors on the scoreboard is a subtle yet brilliant addition as it allows neutral and new fans to engage and identify the teams with ease. We’re extremely excited to be working with the LIGR team and are very excited about the new features that are on the horizon.”
The flexibility of the LIGR platform means that the on-screen graphics are identical no matter what the level of game. Whether it’s a production team using the LIGR LiveScore app to automate graphics for an NPL3 match, connecting LIGR with external live data provider Stats Perform to automate all graphics, or a broadcaster using LIGR in manual mode with a multi-camera outside broadcast setup for an NPL Grand Final.
LIGR’s custom themes aren’t reserved just for the NPL. Their in-house design team can reskin built-in themes with brand colors or create a unique theme from the ground up. Their themes are deployed all around Australia, including for national and state sporting organizations including QRL, NSWRL, Cricket Australia, and the AFL. LIGR has a dedicated inquiry form on its website where organizations can submit their requirements.
