LIGR and InteractSport partner to deliver automated graphics to new streaming platform.
InteractSport’s brand new Video Streaming Platform will be broadcasting over 150 Premier cricket matches across Queensland this summer in an expanded pilot program. The best of Queensland Premier Cricket will be live streamed via a dedicated match centre (OTT) with live streams, scores, full replays, highlights, stats and more. The deal will be the first of its kind in Australia providing unprecedented access to footage of the best cricketers in Queensland, and taking Premier Cricket to fans around the globe.
The video platform was successfully piloted in the Queensland Premier Cricket competition, before its launch in Europe in 2019 powering the world streams and broadcast graphics of the European Cricket League in La Manga, Spain.
At the announcement, Queensland Cricket’s Premier Cricket Officer, Michael Wright, shared his excitement
“Queensland Cricket are delighted to be live streaming all of our First Grade One Day and T20 matches through InteractSport’s platform. We were involved in the pilot here in Queensland last summer, and we were impressed with the quality of the streams and how easy it was on match day due to its superior automation. You just need to setup the camera and encoder before the start of play, and our scorers use the MyCricket LiveScore App to score the match, which automates the live stream, graphics and highlights. We can now capture vision of all first grade limited overs matches and promote the game through a highly interactive match centre"
“Queensland Cricket will be the first premier cricket competition in Australia to broadcast every ball of their First Grade T20 and one-day cricket matches, not only does this create a compelling value proposition to players, fans and commercial partners, it will also provide value for their High Performance team who have access to full replays and highlights of the upcoming stars of Queensland and Australian Cricket.”
InteractSport COO, Rob Knee, praised Queensland Cricket’s forward-thinking approach to activating Live Streaming,
“We are very fortunate to have such an awesome team here that, within a year, took a desire to reimagine InteractSport with new and engaging match day products into a world class streaming product, driven by automation that really is a set-and-forget solution on match day for volunteers. Throughout the product development we were extremely thankful to the partnership formed with Live Graphic Systems, who offer a world-class product and service, they worked closely with us to optimise a suite of impressive and professional automated graphics that is seamlessly powered by our Cricket LiveScore App"
Luke McCoy, CEO of LIGR added, “A big part of what we do at LIGR is allow sports organisations and broadcasters to connect brands to live sports, helping fund the cost of live production and bringing more live content to more fans. Through our integration with InteractSport’s solution, leagues can insert their own sponsor assets throughout the broadcast and monetise their streams. There is significant appetite out there for local leagues wishing to broadcast their matches and we are excited to see Queensland Cricket leading the way and proving that it is now a reality for cricket in Australia"
